Basic coated stick electrode for joint and surface welding of dissimilar steels, of heat-treatable, armour and austenitic manganese steels with and to each other, for austenitic-ferritic joints at working temperatures up to 300 °C, for welding steels with a high carbon content and difficult-to-weld steels. The weld metal is fully austenitic, corrosion-resistant, scale-resistant up to 850 °C and can be work-hardened up to a hardness of 350 HB.
