The OMNISLICE cuts tobacco bales in slices before they are loosened and conditioned. A knife is moved by two electrical drives through the bale vertically. The bales are subsequently transported under the knife by a pusher. The exact length of each bale is measured and by calculating it is secures that each slice has the same thickness for a consistently and uniform feeding of the conditioning cylinder. A fixed counter knife assist the cutting sequence to ensures a proper slicing especially for high compressed tobacco and recon. After the cutting table moved forward pneumatically, the slices are placed softly onto downstream weigh belt by a slide. A counter holder on the outlet side prevents the slice from falling uncontrollably onto the conveyor belt and ensured a continuous mass flow without any gaps. The mass flow is controlled by a weigh belt between OMNISLICE and conditioning cylinder. For easy control in set-up mode on both sides operator panels are installed. In general the OMNISLICE operates fully automatic.
