Description

Like the normal Rhopoint IQ, the FLEX 20-S units measure image quality and profiles how light is reflected from a surface. Standard Glossmeters only measure how much light is reflected and are not sensitive to effects which dramatically reduce appearance quality. The Rhopoint IQ FLEX 20-S brings this technology to a new format specifically designed for difficult surfaces or small parts, the small footprint of the IQ FLEX 20-S sensor makes it much more effective on curved surfaces and difficult to reach areas than a conventional glossmeter. IQ FLEX measurements are fully compatible with existing Rhopoint IQ gloss and appearance results. For improved performance and repeatability on even the smallest parts, the Rhopoint IQ FLEX 20-S can be customised with magnetically attached adaptor plates. Using 3D printing technology it is possible to create custom measuring jigs from the CAD diagrams of your components, these adaptors can be easily interchanged for different applications: • - Reduced measurement spot sizes (4 & 2mm) for small parts and curved surfaces • - Repeatable control of small parts, buttons and controls • - Non-contact plates for in-line applications For delicate surfaces, adaptors can be specified with rubber, felt or plastic.
