OverviewFor over 20 years the semi-buried flexible tank Hyperbag has provided fixed flexible storage using the same manufacturing technology as self-supporting flexible tanks while enabling storage volumes up to 10,000 m³.
Volume and usageUsing a diamond-profile excavation, semi-buried tank heights are greater than traditional above‑ground flexible tanks. Loads are distributed onto the embankments, allowing increased stored volumes up to 10,000 m³.
The Hyperbag is designed for mixed (agitated) liquids and is specifically suited to liquids up to 12% dry solids that are non‑strawy.
Materials and manufacturing processPanels of technical fabric are joined by high‑frequency welding. Fabrics comprise a polyester warp (structural reinforcement) coated with PVC or PU and protected by anti‑UV treatment on both faces. Fabrics are chosen and developed according to the technical characteristics of each liquid and certified in line with applicable sector regulations.
Installation & maintenanceFlexible tanks and self‑inflating basins are simple to install and require no specific routine maintenance. A dedicated installation and maintenance service (PIE) is available on request.
Typical applications- Slurry
- Digestate
- Agricultural effluents
- Water
- Fuels
Main advantages- Large storage volumes with rapid installation
- No building permit required in many jurisdictions (local regulation dependent); often only an authorization is needed
- No dilution of effluents by rainwater
- Liquid protected from contamination, oxidation and evaporation
