The PRT-100 is a hand-held tester which simplifies the process of connecting a three-phase motor. It can detect the sequence of a 3-phase power line for proper motor wiring. Phase loss can also be detected without voltage conditions. The PRT-100 works on voltages that go up to 700VAC. Some technical parameters of the model include: an operating temperature of 32° to 113°F (0° to +45°C), a storage temperature of 40° to 140°F (–40° to +60°C), and response times of 100ms.
The rotation sequence of the tester is color-coded; a red color means phase loss or no voltage, while a yellow color indicates low battery. Indicators are also color-coded; a green color stands for a normal rotation/sequence, while a red color means that the rotation is reversed. The instrument is equipped with a momentary test button for operator control.
