These salvage tubes can be used to lay pipes, and for other construction projects underwater. By using the tubes vertically, a boat can be eased out of deep water. As the boat nears the surface the tubes can be pushed under the boat which can then be raised high enough in the water to be pumped out. If a boat is stuck in shallower water two bags thrown on each side would bring the boat to the surface.
