This miniature thumb joystick provides precise single-axis control and requires very little space The TRY13m has been specially developed for applications where many input elements must be accommodated in a small space. Its small dimensions and housing depth of just 18 mm below the panel enable high integration density in joystick handles, mobile handheld devices, and compact control panels. The TRY13m 1-axis joystick has spring return and a deflection angle of ±45° from the centre position, allowing sensitive, proportional control of one axis. Contactless Hall effect sensor technology eliminates wear and tear and, when combined with waterproof, conformal-coated electronics, ensures a stable output signal throughout the joystick's three-million-movement mechanical service life, even at ambient temperatures ranging from -40 °C to +85 °C. Depending on the version, the output signal is available as either an analogue voltage signal with various voltage ranges (e.g. 0 to 5 V, 0.5 to 4.5 V, 1 to 4 V, or 0.25 to 4.75 V), or a pulse width modulation (PWM) signal. Snap-in mounting and connection via a 3-pin header strip with a 2.54 mm pitch facilitate integration into customer-specific electronics and operating concepts. Thanks to its miniature size, durable Hall sensor technology and robust electronics, the TRY13m is ideal for use in hand grip joysticks (e.g. as an additional axis), as well as in mobile and stationary control panels or remote controls where reliable single-axis control is required in limited installation space.
