Overview
Megger BVM is a battery voltage monitor used for capacity testing of large industrial battery banks typically found in electrical substations, telecom facilities and data centre UPS systems. Used with a load device (for example a TORKEL unit) and test data management software such as PowerDB and TORKEL Win, the BVM enables fully automated battery bank capacity testing according to the IEC test method and supports compliance with NERC/FERC requirements.

The BVM is modular: one BVM unit is used for each battery or cell in the string to be tested. Units connect in a daisy‑chain (up to 2x120 units), providing economical expandability for small to large battery bank systems. All units are identical and interchangeable; the BVM Auto Discovery feature allows the host device to automatically determine the number of batteries under test and assign sequential identification to each unit in the test string.
