Modular Slip Ring Motors of the MENZEL MEBSSL Series – Flexible and Robust Voltage ratings: 2 up 13.8 kV Mounting: IM B3 for horizontal installation IM V1 for vertical installation Standard degrees of protection: IP 55, IP 23 Cooling system: The heat loss generated inside the motor (stator and rotor) is transported to the air-air heat exchanger by an internal fan. The air-air heat exchanger is cooled by a fl ow of ambient air coming from an external fan riding the shaft. The interior air passes the heat loss to the cooling pipes through which the external air is flowing. Variants, for instance in the case of speed control, forced ventilation or connection with air ducts of particularly slow-running motors, are available as custom versions.
