WESPA BITEC M42 plus is a high performance band saw blade with variable teeth and positive rake angle, that ensures a high productivity of the cutting process. The blade has a great wear resistance and works with high cutting precision. WESPA BITEC M42 plus blade comes in a multi-dimensional range with various teeth shapes, being recommended for the cutting of the following materials: structural steel, automatic steel, hardened steel, rolled steel, bearing steel, carbon steel, high-speed steels, anticorrosive and antiacide steels.
Choosing the right teeth (number of teeth / inch) is very important for getting optimal results.
The pitch is chosen depending on the length of the blade sector that is directly involved in the cutting process:
If the pitch is too small (too many teeth), the cut can be irregular, due to the fact that chips can fill the cutting area pushing the band
A too large pitch can lead to teeth breaking, because the pressure applied on each tooth is too high
In order to get optimal results it is recommended that at least three teeth are simultaneously involved in the cutting process
