Description

Presentation
  • The MH-ASPIRATIONS aerospace extraction table is a self-contained workstation designed to capture dust and vapors generated during finishing operations on aerospace parts (fitting, deburring, sanding, trimming).
  • ATEX risk has been considered with evaluation performed by an external expertise body (INERIS).
  • Objectives: reduce explosion risk from fine dust, lower operator exposure and improve working conditions.

Main risks
  • Explosion of extraction equipment (including outdoor use) risking building, machinery and personnel.
  • Occupational disease from inhalation of fine, respirable dust.

Materials worked
  • Aluminium
  • Magnesium
  • Under specific conditions: Titanium
  • Under specific conditions: Inconel®

Design
  • Simultaneous start of lighting and power supplies with extraction: operator cannot work if extraction is not running.
  • Translucent hinged side deflectors for occasional work on large parts.
  • Sheetmetal finished with oven-cured powder coating, scratch resistant.
  • Drawers to recover coarse particles and dropped small tools.

Worktop and recovery
  • Plastic grating worktop to avoid scratching parts (load 100 Kg/m²).
  • Drawers positioned under the worktop for collection of coarse particles and small tools.

Filtration and aspiration
  • Air velocity at the front opening > 0.7 m/s (clean filters) to capture alveolar dust.
  • Three-stage filtration located behind the worktop; final stages use absolute filters with enhanced sealing (e.g. E10).
  • Integrated, sound-insulated fan housed in the table casing.
  • Air discharged via an upper grille; possibility to connect to an external duct after technical validation.

Use
  • Operator can work seated or standing: cleared space under the drawers.
  • Integrated pneumatic and electrical connections for portable tools (possibility to connect and automatically cut off up to 2 pneumatic/electric tools depending on configuration).
  • Electrical cabinet with emergency stop and tool outlets.

Controls & accessories
  • Manometers to visualise filter clogging.
  • Integrated connections and controls for tools and utilities.

Maintenance
  • Easy access to filters and quick removal for maintenance and replacement.
  • Automatic stop of the table if filters are abnormally clogged (ensures extraction is not below 0.5 m/s).

Safety
  • ATEX risk analysed and taken into account (external evaluation performed).
  • Worktop lighting and low noise level.
  • M1-class foam and a hatch for rapid fire extinguishing.
  • Extraction remains effective even if the grating is partially blocked, as suction is not performed only from below.

Key advantages
  • Enhanced safety for operations generating flammable/explosive dusts.
  • Ease of maintenance and access to filtration elements.
  • Integrated supplies and controls for tools ensuring ergonomics and operational safety.

Characteristics / technical specifications
  • Type: autonomous aerospace extraction table.
  • Air velocity at front opening: > 0.7 m/s (clean filters).
  • Safety threshold (automatic stop): protects against extraction < 0.5 m/s.
  • Filtration: 3 stages with absolute filters and enhanced sealing (e.g. E10).
  • Fan: integrated and sound-insulated in the casing.
  • Air discharge: upper grille, duct connection possible after validation.
  • Worktop: plastic grating, capacity 100 Kg/m².
  • Drawers: recovery of coarse particles and tools.
  • Filter monitoring: manometers.
  • Connections: integrated pneumatic and electrical for portable tools.
  • Electrical safety: cabinet with emergency stop and outlets for tools.
  • Finish: oven-cured powder coating on sheetmetal.
  • Materials workable: Aluminium, Magnesium, Titanium (under conditions), Inconel® (under conditions).
  • Fire protection: M1-class foam and rapid extinguishing hatch.
