Description
Tilting pad thrust bearings are designed for the most demanding turbomachinery applications. Due to the tilting capability of the individual pads, thrust bearings allow high sliding speeds ( e.g. 160 m/s and above). With appropriate oil supply, bearing loads of >4 MPa are achievable for continuous operation.
