Overview
The optoCONTROL CLS1000 is an industrial controller for fiber optic sensor applications, offered in multiple variants to cover switching, potential‑free, voltage and current output requirements. Models support NPN, PNP and push‑pull output types and can be supplied with or without trigger functionality.

Available versions
  • CLS1000-QN: Antivalent switching outputs (Q / QN) for safe behaviour on wire breakage.
  • CLS1000-2Q: Two independently adjustable switching outputs with separate thresholds.
  • CLS1000-OC: Optocoupler (potential‑free) output for galvanic isolation of the output circuitry.
  • CLS1000-AU: Analog voltage output (freely scalable 0 … 10 V) plus an additional switching output.
  • CLS1000-AI: Analog current output (freely scalable 0 … 20 mA or 4 … 20 mA) plus an additional switching output.


Operation and configuration
Commissioning can be performed directly on the controller or via external teach‑in. Two 4‑digit digital displays visualise programming steps, status indications and set/actual values for fast configuration and diagnostics.

Key functions and modes
  • Multiple teach‑in modes: up to 7 for QN/2Q/OC variants and up to 9 for AU/AI variants to enable precise detection of very fine structures in reflex or transmission mode.
  • Switchable output types: NPN, PNP and push‑pull selectable to match application wiring.
  • Trigger options: available with or without trigger; multiple trigger types supported.


Notes on analog outputs
  • AU: Voltage output 0 … 10 V, freely scalable and functioning as an intensity output for simple signal processing.
  • AI: Current output 0 … 20 mA or 4 … 20 mA, freely scalable and functioning as an intensity output; includes an additional switching output.

  • CLS1000-QN: Antivalent outputs provide wire‑break safety.
  • CLS1000-OC: Optocoupler output offers potential‑free switching and galvanic isolation.
