Description
The Vintage studio microphone UM 57 is the original reissue of the legendary Gefell UM 57, fitted with the original M7 capsule using in-house, gold‑coated PVC diaphragms. Its characteristic tube-driven sound is appreciated by many artists and producers worldwide. The tube preamplifier uses an EF 86 pentode operated as a triode and is specially selected for low noise performance. The UN 57 power supply provides the required voltages for the microphone and enables remote switching of the polar patterns (omni, cardioid, figure-8). The UN 57 can be operated at 115 V or 230 V with 50 Hz or 60 Hz. It features a mains switch, a selector for polar pattern, a 7‑pin connector for the UM 57 and a 3‑pin XLR for the microphone output. The UM 57 microphone and UN 57 power supply are delivered in a hammer-finish case that also contains the C tube microphone cable and the EA 92 elastic suspension.
