OverviewThe CAMSIZER® X2+ is a versatile particle size and shape analyzer based on Dynamic Image Analysis (ISO 13322-2). It combines Dual Camera technology with ultra-bright LED stroboscopic illumination and modular dispersion options to measure powders, granules and suspensions across a wide range from 0.9 µm to 8 mm. The system captures and evaluates hundreds of thousands to millions of particle images within 1–3 minutes, suitable for R&D and routine quality control.

Modular X-Change SystemThe X-Change system offers three dispersion modules to match sample requirements:
- X-Jet (air pressure dispersion): Venturi nozzle dispersion for powders; pressure adjustable 0–460 kPa; interchangeable nozzles extend the measurable range.
- X-Flow (wet dispersion): Closed-loop suspension measurement through a glass flow cell with integrated ultrasonic unit and pump; compatible media include water, alcohols and nonpolar organic solvents.
- X-Fall (gravity dispersion): Non-destructive free-fall measurement for sensitive samples; sample recovery possible; suitable up to 8 mm.
Measurement principle and softwareDual Camera Technology records particle projections with two synchronized cameras (ZOOM and BASIC). A dedicated algorithm merges camera data to deliver accurate size distributions over more than three decades. DIMENSIONS software captures numerous parameters per particle and provides intuitive workspaces, report templates, SOP management, LIMS connectivity and a 21 CFR Part 11 compatible option.
