NEMO® barrel emptying systems are versatile and automatically draw themselves towards the bottom of the barrel. With NETZSCH emptying systems, you can almost completely empty your barrels and containers in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and food industries. The core of the system is a NEMO® BY progressing cavity pump, which delivers constant, low-pulsation pumping. The versatility is extensive: From low-viscosity to barely flowing media, with or without solids content, shear-sensitive, sticky, or abrasive substances, the progressing cavity pump can gently pump even challenging media, regardless of pressure and viscosity fluctuations. Optionally, the pump can also be heated. This allows you to pump products prone to hardening or requiring temperature control. Upon activating the system, a vacuum forms under the follower plate. Simultaneously, this applies a slight pre-pressure on the medium to ensure continuous suction. This ensures emptying with a residual quantity of less than one percent of the total content. Consequently, you save medium and, as a result, money.
