Description

Overview
FLOW CORE is the smart thermostatic head designed to modernize heating control for multi‑unit and commercial buildings. It combines on‑board regulation, NFC local configuration, LoRaWAN connectivity, remote software updates and centralized monitoring to enable efficient fleet management and simplified on‑site operations.

Key features
  • Connected: quick NFC setup from a smartphone; remote control and monitoring via LoRaWAN.
  • High‑performance battery: 2 replaceable AA lithium batteries; standard 6‑year life, up to 10 years depending on usage and settings.
  • Smart local control: heating schedules stored on the device; maintains regulation if network is unavailable.
  • Optimized radio & security: L2D1 local radio link with NODE for representative room temperature measurement; LoRaWAN communications optimized with historical data mode and redundancy; AES‑128 end‑to‑end encryption.
  • Reduced maintenance: NFC configuration, battery monitoring, FUOTA V2 remote updates, anti‑seize routine, open‑window detection and control lock to limit site visits.
  • Protective options: lockable base with security screw; optional CASE cover for impact/tamper protection.

Functional benefits
FLOW CORE keeps heating programs in memory so regulation continues even without cloud connectivity. Fine 0.5 °C control steps and 0.1 °C resolution improve room‑by‑room stability. Remote firmware updates extend product lifetime and add features without hardware replacement. The NAVIXIS (Nexelec) platform provides centralized monitoring, fleet tracking, remote programming and configurable alerts.

NODE remote sensor (ecosystem)
When paired with the NODE remote sensor via the Nexelec L2D1 protocol, FLOW CORE can use a temperature measurement located away from the radiator for improved comfort and regulation accuracy. NODE offers COFRAC‑certified calibration and ±0.5 °C accuracy for fine thermostatic control.

Installation & maintenance
Simplified commissioning with NFC local configuration and remote LoRaWAN setup. Five colored tabs for on‑site identification and the ADAPT adapter kit ensure compatibility with common radiator valves (Danfoss RA/RAV/RAVL, Cale, Giacomini, M28). Anti‑seize function actuates the mechanism monthly to prevent valve seizure during unused periods.

Safety & durability
Designed for collective housing and public buildings: lockable mounting base, anti‑tear detection (removal alert), optional transparent CASE for mechanical protection and anti‑theft features to reduce replacements and service calls. Eco‑design choices include replaceable batteries and remote maintenance to extend lifecycle.
