Description

Nippon Pulse offers a single-axis control chip, the PCD2112. A small molded package 48-pin QFP, the PCD2112 packs a powerful control set into a 7mm x 7mm chip. The PCD2112, which has Serial Peripheral Interface Bus (SPI) interface, can offer a custom designed smaller controller board with no sacrificing of intelligent motion. The PCD2112 can be operated with or without a CPU. A versatile chip, the PCD2112 can be used to control servo (using digital input) or stepper motors. Features of the PCD2112 include: servo interface (in-position, CLR deviation counter); external pulse input function; ability to change speed on the fly; maximum output pulse frequency of 2.4M pulse per sec; encoder input (A, B and Index); and S-curve/ Linear Acceleration/deceleration. Major applications for this product are high-end office automation, semiconductor manufacturing and inspection equipment, robots, analyzers, medical examination equipment and automatic handling equipment.
