Description

Overview
TEMISH™ is a PTFE porous membrane filter material designed for lightweight, sterilization-resistant and reusable filters for N95 medical masks. It is a porous membrane composed of fine fibers that physically captures dust and viruses. Finished products can obtain NIOSH certification in the U.S.

Features
  • Can meet N95 standards according to NIOSH and ASTM F2100-11 for blood resistance and flammability.
  • Filter collection efficiency ranges from 95% to ~99.99995%; collection characteristics are more stable than general electret filters.
  • Porous membrane of fine fibers provides a balance between air permeability and collection efficiency.
  • PFE, BFE and VFE show more than 99% collection efficiency for relevant particle size ranges.
  • Stable properties in high-humidity environments and good storage stability.
  • Lighter and more comfortable than ordinary electret N95 filter materials.

By controlling the pore size of the PTFE porous membrane, pressure drop and collection efficiency are optimized.

Characteristics
TEMISH™ maintains high collection efficiency after sterilization and has collection characteristics more stable than common N95 electret filters.

Autoclave sterilization test results
Heating in an autoclave at 120°C for 20 minutes. Measurement of filter collection efficiency and pressure drop (Linear velocity: 5.3 cm/sec; particle size: DEHS 0.1 μm). Data are measured values and do not guarantee performance.

Alcohol disinfectant spray cycle test (method)
  • 1) Apply 5 pushes of alcohol sanitizer (75% concentration) to the filter surface.
  • 2) Dry at room temperature overnight.
  • 3) Measure filter collection efficiency and pressure drop (Linear velocity: 5.3 cm/sec; particles: DEHS 0.1 μm).
  • 4) Repeat steps 1–3 for cycles.
