OverviewThe InfraLab Series 9 is an at-line analyzer based on multi-wavelength near-infrared (NIR) reflectance for rapid, non-contact measurement of moisture and other key constituents. Designed for food, tobacco and bulk industrial products, it delivers representative, lab-comparable results with minimal sample preparation and a typical analysis time of ~5 seconds.
Features & Benefits- Representative process sampling to improve product control and consistency.
- Multi-wavelength NIR reflectance technology for simultaneous measurement of moisture and other constituents.
- Fast throughput — typical analysis in ~5 seconds reduces routine sampling time and cost.
- Intuitive touchscreen interface with passcode-protected user access; no special operator qualifications required.
- Non-contact measurement with automatic sample detection via a rotatable sample dish.
- Available in single- or multi-component measurement configurations to match application needs.
ApplicationsInfraLab At-Line Food AnalyzerRapid measurement of moisture, fat/oil, protein, degree of bake/roast and related constituents in products such as animal feed, breakfast cereals, cheese, chocolate, coffee & tea, confectionery, cookies & biscuits, corn & maize (wet milling), crackers & crispbreads, dairy powders, flour & grain, seeds, meat, nuts, olive oil extraction, potato chips & crisps, snacks, spices, starch and sugar.
InfraLab At-Line Industrial AnalyzerMoisture and constituent measurement in building & construction materials, ceramics & clay, chemicals, detergents, fertilizers, fibers & polymers, industrial textiles, minerals, nitrocellulose, organic waste & biofeed, pharmaceuticals & nutraceuticals, wood & cellulose products and other bulk industrial materials.
InfraLab At-Line Tobacco AnalyzerMeasurement of moisture, nicotine, total sugars, total volatiles, glycerol, propylene glycol and methanol in GLT, primary & strips, blended strips, re-dried cut lamina, final blend, WTS, CRS, re-dried stem, expanded tobacco, roll-your-own tobacco, pipe tobacco and cigar filler.
How it WorksInfraLab uses multi-wavelength NIR reflectance in a non-contact configuration. A sample dish is placed on the turntable; the instrument automatically detects the dish and starts the analysis. Onboard calibration tools allow alignment to reference laboratory methods.
Data & ConnectivitySubstantial onboard storage (up to ~100,000 sample files). Data export via encrypted USB and Ethernet; supports transfer to PC and integration with LIMS or data-management workflows for traceability and further analysis.
Replace Laboratory MethodsIntended as a routine replacement for lab techniques such as loss-on-drying, Karl Fischer or gravimetric moisture tests and for chemical methods for fat/protein (e.g. Soxhlet, Weibull‑Stoldt, Kjeldahl) once calibrated. Advantages include speed, minimal sample prep and measurement of larger, more representative samples.
