Description

Overview
The Norton DAS-e and OS-e electric sanders provide a compact, professional solution for high‑performance sanding and finishing in industrial applications. The range includes Dual Action (DAS-e) models for variable aggression and an Orbital (OS-e) model for larger area work.

Range & Models
  • DAS-e Dual Action Sander – electric: 5.0 mm orbit (DAS-e 5.0mm)
  • DAS-e Dual Action Sander – electric: 2.5 mm orbit (DAS-e 2.5mm)
  • OS-e Orbital Sander: 70 x 198 mm platen (OS-e 70x198mm)

Key benefits & features
  • Ergonomic design optimised for operator control and reduced fatigue during extended use.
  • High power-to-size ratio: 350 W motor with speeds up to 10,000 RPM for efficient material removal and finishing.
  • DAS-e available in 5.0 mm and 2.5 mm orbits to cover aggressive sanding and fine finishing tasks.
  • OS-e platen 70 x 198 mm for fast orbital sanding of larger areas.
  • Reactive braking system stops the back-up pad instantly to improve operator safety.
  • Front-mounted power switch for convenient on/off control within easy reach.
  • LED indicators show speed settings and operational status at a glance.
  • Optimised dust extraction when used with Cyclonic discs and Cyclonic back-up pad for a cleaner workspace and extended abrasive life.
  • Detachable power supply reduces in-hand weight and cable clutter for easier handling.

Cyclonic system and back-up pad
The Norton Cyclonic back-up pad uses a multi-hole Cyclonic pattern engineered to maximise dust extraction and sanding efficiency. The low-profile design improves control and precision, while the quick-change fixing system accelerates pad replacement and the high hole count simplifies disc alignment.

Why this system works
  • Effective dust removal: the Cyclonic hole pattern aligns with DAS-e extraction ports to maintain a cleaner work envelope.
  • Optimised cutting performance: Cyclonic abrasives combine ceramic grain and No-fil® technology with variable sander speed and low vibration for consistent cutting across filler, primer and topcoat.
  • Operational efficiency: reduced clogging and fewer abrasive changes lower cycle times and decrease rework.
