Product overview
The PCS-921 numerical relay provides comprehensive protection and control for circuit breakers, including breaker-failure protection, pole-discrepancy and dead-zone protection, phase/negative-sequence overcurrent and earth-fault protection, voltage and frequency protection, auto-reclosing (single and/or three-pole) and synchronism check. The relay features programmable logic, configurable I/Os and programmable three-color LEDs, and uses frequency tracking to reduce sampling error. The multi-processor platform supports separate station and process bus interfaces with IEC 61850-8-1 MMS, GOOSE and IEC 61850-9-2 Sampling Value. A front RJ-45 port simplifies testing and commissioning.
