Product overviewThe PCS-915ID distributed busbar protection relay delivers low-impedance, sub-cycle busbar protection for multiple busbar schemes including single/double busbars, bus sections, transfer bus, breaker-and-a-half and ring-breaker arrangements. The system uses a distributed architecture: one Central Unit (CU) connected to up to 32 Bay Units (BUs) via optical point-to-point links. The CU handles protection calculations and relay coordination; each BU acquires analog and binary signals and executes trip/close commands from the CU.
