Product Overview
The PCS series communication device, developed by NR Electric based on integrated automation system research and site operation experience, provides communication functions for substations and power plants. The PCS-COMM configuration and debugging tool is the companion software for configuring, managing and commissioning these communication devices. It is built on object-oriented architecture, networked database technology and cross-platform visualization, and fully supports IEC60870-5-103, IEC61850 and other international standards to meet configuration and commissioning requirements in traditional and digital substations as well as power plants.

Functions

• IED configuration and management: configure all IEDs connected to the PCS series communication device and view each IED's configuration.
• Offline configuration: set access and transfer rules for PCS devices to match site-specific requirements before deployment.
• Visual/device configuration: graphical and symbolic tools to simplify device configuration; most operations are completed with a few mouse clicks.
• Online debugging: integrated download and debugging capabilities — configured schemes can be downloaded to PCS devices and device status can be monitored and debugged online.
