OverviewThe H2 BOX is a compact, containerised hydrogen purification unit assembled and supplied by OMEGA AIR. The system is built for outdoor installation, transportable and delivered wired, tested and ready for connection. It is designed for continuous removal of water vapour, oxygen and solid particles from hydrogen streams and can be integrated with electrolyser systems and hydrogen refuelling infrastructures. The H2 BOX is compatible with fuel cell purity requirements (ISO 14687:2019) and is suitable for industrial applications where stable gas quality is required.
Drying and RegenerationDrying is based on adsorption in two pressurised columns filled with adsorbent material. Regeneration runs in a closed-loop, heat-regenerated cycle to minimise hydrogen loss. The H2-DRY alternates three main phases: adsorption, heating (regeneration) and cooling. An optional deoxo module can lower oxygen levels to below 5 ppm. With appropriate external utilities for regeneration/cooling, purge or gas loss can be limited to 1–2% (depending on chosen configuration).
TechnologyOMEGA AIR units use Temperature Swing Adsorption (TSA) technology, exploiting temperature-dependent adsorption properties of gases on solid adsorbents to achieve the required dew point and contaminant levels.
