Jib cranes with articulated boom can reach those positions of the working area which due to obstacles would be impossible to reach with a fixed boom. They are designed to facilitate the movement of goods within the facility, avoiding fixed obstacles that could restrict the free rotation of the boom. This is particularly useful when the boom is constructed as a flexible element rather than a single rigid element. In this case the boom consists of two segments on bearings, capable of turning independently from each other. The bearing of the rotation assembly ensure seamless rotation and there are no tie rods above the boom, so that the full height can be utilised. The hoist is normally supplied mounted in a fixed configuration, at the tip of the boom. On request, however, it can be mounted on a sliding trolley along the outermost boom. This pillar jib crane is therefore optimised for use within confined areas and zones, and guarantees great versatility of use and installation.
