Description

OMIS manufactures a wide range of sliding end carriages for overhead cranes in single-girder and double-girder versions, to handle loads of up to 60 tonnes and standard spans of up to 32 metres, with the possibility of customised configurations for greater requirements. The production is based on a robust box structure, equipped with internal reinforcement diaphragms, which provides exceptional resistance to bending and torsion. The entire production process is state-of-the-art: OMIS end carriages are manufactured using robotic welding and CNC machining, ensuring millimetric precision and perfect modularity of components. To ensure smooth and long-lasting sliding the wheels are oversized and made of top-quality cast iron. For applications requiring special profiles or superior mechanical performance (due to high speed or heavy use), steel wheels are available. Optimal alignment between the end carriages and bridge girders is ensured by the use of bushings. In terms of safety, the buffers are made of high impact-resistant rubber. The end carriages are configured as standard for two travel speeds: a slow speed (10 m/min) for precision positioning and a fast speed (40 m/min) for rapid movement. OMIS end carriages are integrated with gear motors designed and built entirely in-house. This total control over the process allows extremely high quality standards to be maintained. All internal gears undergo heat treatment and subsequent grinding. The range of gear motors covers power ratings from 0.37 to 4 kW and is designed to ensure smooth starts and progressive decelerations, which are essential for the safe and precise handling of loads.
