It removes 99.99% of 0.3 μm DNA-containing particulates and biological contaminants like bacteria, fungi, and other microorganisms from the air, creating a clean work environment inside the Opentrons Flex. The Opentrons Flex HEPA/UV Module is not a biosafety cabinet, nor does it protect the user. The module is used to maintain a sterile working environment inside the Flex. The HEPA/UV Module should never be used for pathogens. It should not be used for situations where there are volatiles, or any potentially hazardous aerosolized materials. Is the HEPA/UV Module a standalone unit? The Opentrons Flex HEPA/UV Module is intended for use with our Opentrons Flex Robot, and can not be used as a standalone unit.
