Description

Overview
PAMA Speedmill horizontal milling machines are engineered for machining medium to large components where horizontal processing is preferred. The design prioritises vibration damping, dynamic axis response, high spindle speed and part dimensional precision.

Design and construction
The machines feature a thermally symmetric column with a centrally mounted headstock and roller guideways on the X and Y axes to exploit axis dynamics. The ram is guided inside the headstock by hydrostatic pads and is equipped with a real-time feedback system to compensate thermal elongation, improving positional accuracy and rigidity at the source of vibration.

Thermal control and lubrication
CNC attachment heads are thermally stabilised via controlled fluid recirculation. To attain high speeds, precision and wear resistance of kinematic units, lubrication is provided by air‑oil or climate‑controlled oil recirculation systems.

Configuration options
  • a wide assortment of milling or turning tables
  • a wide assortment of tool magazines and tool and CNC attachment head magazines

CNC control
The range can be specified with Siemens, Heidenhain or Fanuc CNC systems according to production requirements.
