PickCarts are used a lot in warehouse operations with a high number of SKU’s (Stock Keeping Unit) small orders, particular for E-Commerce operations or the slow movers of any other warehouse operation. The PickCart is equipped with batch and route optimization software that minimizes travel distances for operators, significantly reducing the time spent walking and increasing overall productivity. This way the PickCart can reduce walking time by up to 50%. PickCarts feature high-visibility multi-color displays that support operators with putting the products to the correct order locations in a most efficient way minimizing errors. How does it work: An operator starts a PickCart, which creates or receives a batch with a maximum number of orders equal to the number of available order locations on the Pickcart. Orders will be linked to the locations at the PickCart automatically or manually by scanning the order and confirming the location at the displays. The system guides the operator to the correct locations, where the required product barcode is scanned. Displays for each order in need of that product light up, showing the quantity required. The operator confirms each pick by pressing the OK button on the display. Once all items are picked, the cartons are dropped at a designated location.
