With Distrib Put to Light, for each pick location a multi-color, overhead LED display is installed in a rail system above the put locations. At a central, industrial touch screen terminal the orders for all customers are shown. When a product is available the operator selects the item and the displays show how many units and/or baskets and units an operator has to put to each location (therefore; Put TO Light). When all orders of a product are picked, the operator confirms completion and takes the next available product. Distrib Put to Light works color-based. This means multiple operators can pick different items in parallel by assigning each operator a different color. Pcdata`s DISM2K display can show multiple colors at the same time. Our customers can decide the number of colors, the font size and layout of their displays as this is all customizable to fit their specific operation. In case of shortages or over-production Distrib has the ability to adjust the picking quantities automatically, in real-time based on pre-defined priority rules. Distrib also has the capability of handling multiple shipping waves. If a considerable number of orders are small, a put-rack can be used. In this case the customers are assigned to shelve positions with displays.
