DescriptionThe PCE-SCD 50 soil density meter is a portable, non-radioactive instrument for in-situ measurement of wet and dry density, compaction percentage and moisture content. It is designed for use in road construction, foundation works, landfill construction and environmental or hydraulic engineering to assess soil quality and support decisions on treatment, compaction or stabilization. Integrated GPS records exact location for each measurement. The 5-inch touchscreen provides intuitive operation. Typical measurement time: approx. 5 seconds. Internal memory stores up to 4200 readings. Software is included for data transfer and analysis. The device also measures soil temperature and displays a status bar with GPS, memory capacity and battery indicators, date and time.
