Designed especially for the power generation industry, the Pocket AE-Power™ is a highly portable, effective screening tool for particle discharge and gassing problems. The handheld system detects partial discharge and/or bouncing particles on Gas Insulated Substations (GIS) and is also ideal for problem screening/detection, characterization and area location of PD/gassing problems in power transformers. It’s the first system to implement commercial technology for partial discharge identification in GS as well as gassing sources in Power Transformers. These capabilities allow for early detection, and the resulting foresight that makes planned outages and maintenance work prior to severe problems possible.
