It transforms about 70% of processed cardboard into packaging for the food and beverage industry. Packaging for the fruit and vegetable industry is growing steadily within this segment thanks to the development work on products that our dedicated facilities are carrying out in order to respond to customer needs with greater precision. Fruit and vegetables packing often takes place directly on the field or in dedicated centres. It requires packaging with special characteristics, such as resistance to the moisture released by the product or the ability to sustain the temperature fluctuations of products stored in refrigerated rooms and subsequently transported to markets or to mass retailers. Packaging made by our box maker plants can be printed with up to six colours, in both small and large sizes, thanks to the use of technologically advanced, computer-controlled production lines. It is also possible to produce high-definition printing even for small production runs with our digital technology. Consumer demand is directed increasingly towards sustainable and environmentally friendly materials such as paper and cardboard, which also serve as a communication media for the end customer, through printed messages and images on the packaging The range of products varies from trays available in different formats to small trays of different thicknesses and large size octagonal bins for transporting fruit.
