Description

Our LAR™ QuickCODlab™ online COD water analyzer is the most reliable measurement system for the determination of the chemical oxygen demand in laboratories. Using this environmentally friendly COD analyzer and analysis technique, you can now determine chemical oxygen demand quickly, cleanly and safely – without any chemicals. Chemical oxygen demand (COD) is one of the most important sum parameters in water analysis. It is considered as a reference for the organic load of wastewater, both in the industrial and municipal sectors. In general, analytical processes are based on the use of different reagents. However, the safe and environmentally friendly procedure is thermal oxidation. The COD value indicates the amount of oxygen consumed during the oxidation of organic substances of a water sample. The standard COD procedures are subject to criticism, due to their high consumption of hazardous chemicals, so a reliable COD measurement system needs to be environmentally friendly and free of chloride interference. Our analyzer uses a temperature of 1,200°C which guarantees complete combustion and eliminates the need for chemicals. The QuickCODlab precisely determines the COD within minutes. Those who routinely perform laboratory tests for COD understand the standard COD method is an hours-long procedureusing several hazardous substances. Fortunately, it is now possible to measure COD quickly, accurately, cleanly and safely in the laboratory, using high temperatures rather than chemicals to oxidize the sample. With the QuickCODlab online COD water analyzer, there is now a fast, reagent-free laboratory COD method.
