Principle of operation:
The initial product is fed into the working area of the magnetic roller by belt conveyor. Rotated product creates an effect of a rotating magnetic field, inducing an electromotive force and generating eddy currents in the objects of non-ferrous metals. Interaction of the induced eddy currents with rotating magnetic field generates the electrodynamic forces that alter the trajectory of the conductive objects relative to the path of non-conductive materials.
Design features of the separator:
- Fiberglass drum shell is protected from contact with metal impurities, broken glass and other impurities using a special conveyor belt, having twin side corrugations.
- Adjustable speed of the conveyor, between 1 m/s to 2.5 m/s.
- Adjustable rate of rotation of magnetic drum, between 1000 rpm to 3000 rpm.
- Special magnetic system provides efficient extraction of metals with size of fraction up to 3 mm.
- Components of the world leading companies (Nord, SKF) with high performance are used.
