Mobile support table Atlas series

What are they?
Promecam Atlas sheet metal followers are movable worktables that support rotation of the workpiece during the bending phase, reducing handling difficulty for large or thin sheets.

Function and benefits
If not properly supported, large and thin sheets can deform during bending. Followers provide continuous support to prevent counter-bending and reduce the manual effort required from operators. This lowers operator fatigue and the risk of injury, and can reduce the number of personnel needed for handling, improving workshop productivity.

Compatibility
Promecam Atlas mobile followers are compatible with any press brake model regardless of tonnage or length. A single follower can be moved between machines in the same facility with simple operations, enabling flexible use of equipment.

Customization and options
The worktable height can be customized up to 1200 mm. The motorized R-axis (vertical) provides 180 mm of adjustment to fit any die. Optional extras include:

• suction cups
• pneumatic rotary table
• extensions for increased width or length

Rotary table and support surface
The rotary table enables effortless rotation of large sheets. Maximum load capacity is 300 kg to support heavy workpieces. The support surface is covered with scratch-resistant brushes to protect delicate materials such as pre-painted or polished surfaces. Height is adjustable to match die height.

Certifications
Devices are CE certified. Promecam’s sheet metal followers have passed tests related to the Machinery Directive for Low Voltage and Electromagnetic Compatibility. Upon request, Promecam can provide certification for the complete setup to document compliance of the operator/follower system.
