The Safecoder is manufactured by Reer, and is a safety Sin/Cos incremental encoder that is characterized by its rugged, and efficient interface, and the capacity to handle high mechanical and electronic loads. The unit has an utmost resolution of up to 2048 pulse rates, and utilizes a radial M12 as its connector. There are models available that are powered with a power supply of either 5 V DC or 24 V DC. There are also models that are integrated either a hollow shaft which measures 12 mm in diameter or a shaft that measures 10 mm in diameter. The Safecoders complies to a variety of standards including the 2006/42/EC, EN ISO 13849-2, and the EN ISO 61800-5-2.
