The chain conveyors are very popular because of high transport capacity and abrasion resistance. We produce the chains as case-hardened to guarantee the requested parameters. The case-hardening process is carburizing of steel by low content of carbon (0, 1-0,3%) to make the carbon layer enriched to the eutectoid or light over-eutectoid concentration. Then the steel is quenched and the product gets martensitic layer at the surface which is abrasive resistant. The core is tough based on carbon contain and quenching method. The last operation is tempering. For bucket chain conveyors we produce chains and bucket links of quality RC4 (Manganese alloyed steel) and RC5 (Chrome, Nickel, Molybdenum alloyed steel). We recommend chains of quality R40C9 and R35C14 (Chrome, Nickel, Molybdenum alloyed steel) for scraper conveyors.
