The Rhopoint IQ Gloss, Haze & DOI Meter quantifies surface appearance and reflective anomalies that standard glossmeters cannot detect. It profiles angular reflectance to deliver high-resolution measures correlated with human perception of texture and finish.

Measurement features
The IQ uses a high-resolution 512-element linear diode array to capture reflected light profiles and selects angular tolerances defined by standards. It automatically compensates for curved or textured samples by detecting the peak of reflected light and virtually aligning the measurement position.

Haze and reflectance compensation
The IQ quantifies near-specular reflection haze and applies diffuse-reflection compensation to ensure accurate haze readings on bright colours, whites and metallic coatings where internal diffuse reflection occurs.
