RICOS Lightning is an application that enables fast and accurate prediction of fluid simulation results using a proprietary AI algorithm. This algorithm allows for a fundamental acceleration of simulation by replacing conventional processes. It is well-suited for handling complex 3D shapes, making it ideal for real-world product design. By incorporating physical characteristics into its predictions, it can deliver highly reliable results even for new product geometries. In some cases, it has reduced simulation time from days to just minutes. The algorithm is applicable to a wide range of fluid simulations, including thermal-fluid analysis. It supports design engineers by increasing the number of design patterns evaluated in the early stages, ultimately improving product performance. Additionally, the user-friendly interface allows even non-expert users to leverage AI predictions, enhancing design process efficiency. RICOS Lightning is currently under validation with Suzuki Motor Corporation and Mazda Motor Corporation, and collaborative initiatives have begun with other domestic and international automotive and electronics manufacturers. Its applications span a broad range of fields, including automotive aerodynamics, in-cabin airflow, electronic circuit boards, plants, HVAC system design, battery cooling, heating furnaces, and urban planning.
