MODEL / PRODUCT FEATURE > Polyester enclosures with impact resistance of 20 Joule > Empty enclosures for individual fittings > Silicone seal and allen lid screws The Polyester Ex enclosure range for the mining industry comprises sizes from 75 x 110 x 5 mm to 250 x 600 x 121 mm. They are available as component-certified empty enclosures (I M1 and I M2). These robust enclosures obtain their typical black coloration thanks to the addition of graphite to the glass-fibre-reinforced polyester material. Thanks to their high degree of protection (IP 66) and their high impact strength of 20 Joule, these enclosures are ideal for underground applications. An extensive range of accessories rounds off the universal character of the polyester family of Ex enclosures. The enclosure body consists of glass-fibre-reinforced polyester with a graphite additive. The lid and the base are screwed together by means of tethered stainless-steel screws. An offshore variant for equipping with cable glands for armoured cables is also available on request.
