For the automotive industry Ruwac has developed a new method which dispenses with the need for a wet pre-separator. The new system consists of a compact casing housing a spark trap which mechanically cools any sparks in the vacuumed material flow. The vacuumed material then passes through a 5-metre long damping section before it reaches the dust pan. The spark trap effectively and reliably prevents the vacuuming of ignition sources.
