High speed preform inspection machine PVS-3 has been designed to be installed both in line to a new or existing injection moulding machine or in a warehouse to recheck batches of preforms stopped for defects. Complete with 8 cameras, it is able to control the top seal, the thread area, the wall and the end-cap of transparent preforms at a speed of up to 72,000 preforms/hour. It is also able to read the cavity number mould in the finish, produce statistics based on this number and sort by cavity number. PVS-3 can also be equipped with dedicated cameras for the inspection of defects visible with polarized light.
