Station for production of Insulation Displacement Connections (IDC) designed for integration on machines and automated wire-processing systems. Functionality of the process
Insulated wires are pressed into shaped IDC contact slots. Sharp-edged blades inside the slots cut through the insulation during pressing and establish the electrical contact. The method is fast, suitable for high-volume production, and allows simultaneous contacting of multi-core cables.
