Station for production of Insulation Displacement Connections (IDC) designed for integration on machines and automated wire-processing systems. The IDC station automates contacting of insulated wires directly into connector contacts without prior stripping, enabling precise and repeatable connections for series production.

Functionality of the process
Insulated wires are pressed into shaped IDC contact slots. Sharp-edged blades inside the slots cut through the insulation during pressing and establish the electrical contact. The method is fast, suitable for high-volume production, and allows simultaneous contacting of multi-core cables.
