Description

Overview
The PlugLine 345-3 EXTENDED is a semiautomatic crimping machine for assembling power plugs onto two- and three-core sheathed cables. Designed for economical series production, it produces consistent, industrial-grade crimp connections and supports high throughput.

Connecting Multi-Core Cables
Engineered for efficient series production, the machine crimps single plug bridges to two- and three-core sheathed cables. Manual cable feeding with guided insertion ensures repeatable results.

Precise Reference and Stripping
A closed insertion mask and colour detection assist correct operator feeding. Cables are manually fed, cut to reference length and stripped. A vacuum extraction removes insulation and wire residues from the work area.

Automatic Terminal Feeding
Loose power plugs are oriented via a spiral conveyor and transported to the crimping station by a feed rail for uninterrupted process flow.

Safety Crimping Process
The operator is protected by closed safety covers. A column-guided crimp applicator performs the connection between sheathed cables and power plugs. Safety interlocks monitor protective covers and interrupt the electrical safety circuit if opened.

Modern Operating Interface
Touchscreen control (STI 2015) offers an intuitive, multi-language user interface, supports user roles and operating modes, and provides networking functions for flexible process integration.

Options for Quality Assurance
Optional crimp-force monitoring with a bad-part cutter prevents incorrectly crimped cables reaching production output and supports inline quality control.

High Production Rate and Quality
With up to 1,450 pieces per hour (depending on configuration), the machine is suitable for series production. Modular design and high-grade components reduce set-up times and ensure long-term durability.

Conformity and Safety
The machine complies with applicable European directives on mechanical and electrical safety and electromagnetic compatibility. A handwheel allows safe test operation after changeover and during maintenance.
