Overview
Control unit IQ1 from Schick is a universal controller for all Schick handpieces and spindles. It delivers up to 220 W output and, depending on the connected handpiece, speeds of up to 100,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 8 Ncm for efficient processing of a wide range of materials. The unit is powered from 100–240 V and uses a brushless DC motor for stable, maintenance-friendly operation.

Operation and additional functions
The IQ1 supports clockwise/counterclockwise rotation via direct selection buttons; changes are confirmed by a short vibration of the handpiece. Operation is possible with an optional gas pedal or foot switch. A low start speed of 200 rpm (with dynamic foot starter) and selectable ranges (200–50,000 rpm or 1,000–100,000 rpm) allow flexible process control.

Display
Bright OLED display shows all key operating parameters clearly and is readable from wide viewing angles.
