OverviewThe single-idler belt scale measures continuous bulk material flow by recording the weight on a load-cell equipped section of the conveyor belt. It provides continuous weight recording and real-time flow rate calculation for belt conveyors.
Features- Continuous weight recording
- Conveying rates from 45 to 800 t/h
- Belt widths from 500 to 1,350 mm
- Efficient data collection via integrated control
- Easy on-site installation
- Low installation depth
Measurement principleThe conveyed material weight is measured using a strain-gauge bending-beam load cell. Belt speed is recorded continuously by a measuring wheel with a speed sensor. Flow rate (t/h) is calculated from the measured weight and belt speed.
Evaluation / ControlSignal evaluation and value calculation are performed by a PLC integrated in a compact control cabinet. The control unit is equipped with a Profinet interface as standard, enabling easy integration into plant automation.
Assembly / Mechanical designThe belt scale is designed for simple mounting in existing belt conveyors. Support bars of the scale are bolted to the conveyor structure. The standardized construction allows adaptation to different belt widths by shortening the bars, making the scale suitable for universal application.
