Ceramic backing material for welding LATT

During welding, the backing is a support for the weld pool helping to achieve a compact root pass in all single-sided welding positions. Many rigid and articulated weld backing profiles are available to match a wide range of welding joint configurations: ■ Flat backing tapes ■ Shoulder backing tapes ■ Raised backing tapes ■ Round backing tapes They are made of a water repellent ceramic and are secured with an adhesive aluminum tape or a metal rail to adapt to any welding position.
